I was able to wrangle Battles into an interview at Lolla. It was John's birthday, we talk math rock and we relive Smokey Robinson's performance. We laughed, we cried. These guys are an incredible band and they're funny. View away.

The Black Kids @ Lolla

One of the most hyped bands of the last year, their first album just dropped titled, Partie Traumatic. It was good to see these guys live finally, I'm not 100% sold yet - but I did enjoy the set.

Girl Talk at Lolla

This set was madness... toilet paper guns, folks dancin' on stage, a kid dressed as a gorilla in a nearby tree, and Greg jumpin' on a raft to crowd surf - then said raft is commandeered by a fan.

PALOOZA

So I've made it back in one piece. I had a really great time in Chicago and got about 14 worthwhile interviews. Not too bad considering I've never done anything on that scale before. While I'm editing the interviews I figured I'd post some bonus footage we filmed.
